The Hub Community Cafe
Open Mondays 10am -11.45am (Not Bank Holidays), The Hub community café is a not-for-profit, Fairtrade café run by a wonderful team of volunteers. We sell hot drinks and snacks.
Originally based in St John's Church, we were forced to relocate outdoors in-between the lockdowns. With the colder weather ahead, we are now reopening indoors in St John’s Church Hall, which provides easy access for all – without the challenge of getting up St John’s Hill!
We offer a small car park and have access to some additional parking in the Car Park of the Methodist Church – just across the road.
At The Hub our aim is to offer a welcoming space where you can meet with others to knit, natter and read the newspapers, or rather just sit quietly and catch up with a friend. St John’s Church Hall is a flexible space with plenty of room for pushchairs. Parents and carers may find it the perfect place to meet.
It is hard to capture the essence of what makes The Hub the happy and relaxed place it is.
So we have put together this video to give you a flavour!
Everyone is welcome at The Hub which we hope will continue to be a hub for the community, where friends can meet up and new friendships can form. If you would like any further information, please call 01394 383162 or visit our Facebook page @thehubcafestjohns
Look out for our Flag, on the Hall Driveway!
