Holiday at Home
2018 will be our ninth year of holding Holiday at Home at St John's. The Holiday at Home will take place during week: Monday 11th June to Sunday 17th June.
This is an exciting week of events in June where you go back to your own bed each night. It is mainly for retired people but all are welcome if you would like to come. There are usually two separate days of outings by coach and three half days of interesting events with tea held in St John's or the Church Hall.
Holiday at Home is an opportunity to enjoy a low cost holiday where you choose which events and days you would like to attend. We have had trips by boat and train and visited beautiful houses and gardens. In the past we have enjoyed a boat trip and lunch on the Broads, a visit to Anglesey Abbey, trips to Norwich, Ely and St Edmunds Cathedrals and even had seaside trips! The holiday is rounded off with Songs of Praise and a strawberry tea in the church on Sunday afternoon. This is the favourite event of the week!
Every year the itinerary is a surprise. You never know where Holiday at Home will go next!
