Mission

We are actively involved in mission including youth work (Just 42), and Prison Ministry. We also support a number of missionaries and mission organisations working in both the UK and overseas. This support is co-ordinated by our World Mission Action Group (WMAG). Please take a look around our Missions pages to find out more. This link will take you to a short video where you can hear first hand about some of the missions we support https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLU4sDhr8KY.

Just42

Just42 originated in 2002 after a group of people in our church community recognised the need for a youth work programme aimed at those outside the church. Now an independent charity, Just42 is the only open access youth provider in 200 square miles of rural Suffolk. We continue to support the work of Just42, which includes weekly kid’s and youth clubs and a mentoring programme for young people aged 11-18. If you are interested in finding out more you can visit their website https://www.just42.org.uk/.

Prison Ministry

Hollesley Bay (a men’s open prison) and next-door Warren Hill (a men’s closed prison) are both situated at Hollesley, a village close to Woodbridge. Through the chaplaincy staff based at Hollesley, we have many opportunities to help and witness to the prison community. This includes prayer, assisting at Sunday services and weekly bible studies, and involvement with a local Prison Fellowship group.  More details can be found on our Prison Ministry page.

World Mission Action Group (WMAG)

We support individuals and their families (mission partners) and mission organisations (supported missions) by praying and financially by allocating our missions budget to those who are working to fight injustice, help those in need and spread the gospel.  In addition, each year our Christmas Offering is used to support missions and charities that do not form part of our regular mission giving. We also encourage and support people on short term mission.
We meet at least three times a year to pray, share, plan, raise church member’s awareness of Christian missions and to allocate our giving. For more information about our WMAG group please contact Michael Lyons via the Church Office.
