Thy Kingdom Come-Community Prayer Spaces

Do you miss the Town Pastors in Woodbridge?

Do you miss seeing the Town Pastors walking the streets of Woodbridge on a Friday night and knowing our town is covered in prayer every Friday night?

Town Pastors are Christians who look out for and support vulnerable people, giving assistance where appropriate. Being on the street to provide a presence of friendliness and care so that people can enjoy their night out, defusing any potentially aggressive situations. Town Pastors are available to people as listeners, encouraging safe behaviour for all, and fostering good relationships between the public, the Police, door staff, local authorities and voluntary agencies.

Town Pastors, working in male/female pairs whilst wearing bright distinctive jackets and headgear, are out on busy weekend nights from 10pm until the early hours. Their aim is to provide a positive influence in the town, backed by prayer.

They have contact with the Prayer Base, CCTV operators and the Police via radio and phone, and carry a small stock of useful items for use while on patrol.

If you would like to find out more about the Town Pastors in Woodbridge and possibly thinking of joining them please get in contact with Lyn Spall  at lynspall@googlemail.com

Time to Pray Together

We meet to pray together on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm-8.30pm to seek the heart of God for St John's in these times. The shared desire is to be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit and the shared belief is that persistent prayer is powerful to bring change.
You are very welcome to join us every week, drop in when you can.

Please note we will no longer meeting on Zoom
We really look forward to seeing you in person

Little Gems would love some new team members
to help keep our toddler group running, could you help?

2022-05-23 Little Gems Notice
I recently made an announcement in church to invite more people to come and join us on the Little Gems team and help us keep our toddler group running.
I want to say a big thank you to those who have already responded to that invitation, it’s wonderful to have new people joining us and bringing their energy and enthusiasm to this ministry.
There is still plenty of space for more people to join us so if you feel God is calling you to be part of this team as we reach out to young families in our community please get in touch with me at clare@stjohnswoodbridge.org.uk or via the church office for more information.

Little Free Pantry in Need

We have been closely monitoring usage of The Little Free Pantry recently and realise it is used by a number of people. However, for many turning up, it is empty. With the cost of living increasing for us all, it is understandable that usage has increased and some of our regular donations have decreased.

However, if you are able to add items to the pantry, please do whenever you can. It is very appreciated and a fantastic way to reach out to our community. All non-perishable food is suitable, as well as toiletries. Please can food be in date and unopened.

Your ongoing support is greatly appreciated.
