Covid Safe

The layout of church is a little different to enable us to maintain COVID safety at all times, and we are adhering to government guidance as we seek to enable you to return to church in a safe and managed way.  Please follow all guidance when you come into the building.

Image 1You will be greeted and seated by a Duty Warden when you arrive so we can make the best use of the space available. It is now law for you to wear a mask when in the building so please come prepared unless you have a recognised condition which exemptsImage 2 you from wearing a mask. The Duty Wardens will gently ask anyone without a mask, your reason, and unfortunately if this is just through choice we will have to ask you to leave the building, as we know you will appreciate we want to keep everyone safe within our care, and care for you too if you are unable for health reasons to wear one.   We ask that you only move around the church when invited up to take communion.

We are hoping to start providing refreshments once restrictions lift, but encourage you to bring your own travel cup as we want to avoid extra handling of used mugs, we will have a small supply of compostable cups available if you forget to bring your own.

A few other things to bring to your attention:-

Are you symptomatic?  Showing symptoms of COVID-19 (a new continuous cough, a high temperature or a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell)? You should not attend Church due to the risk that you pose to others; you should self-isolate at home immediately with other members of your household

Junior Church and young peoples. provision   Unfortunately we are unable to start back up with Junior Church yet, but will keep you informed of plans as they become possible.  The plan for our young people is currently being considered and we wait eagerly for how we can support them in their walk together as a church family.  Until then children are most welcome, we have missed them too, whether you are 1 year old or nearly 18 years old.  You will need to keep your children in your household group while in the church building and they remain your responsibility.

Giving  We do not have contactless giving capability in Church, if you give regularly the best way to do this is via BACS, however we do have an online giving page set up for one off donations, just be aware when using this giving method that a small portion of your gift is taken in fees for using the site.  If you want to give with cash or cheque, please continue to post these through the door of the Old Vicarage in a sealed envelope at any time during the week.

For information on government guidance for vulnerable groups please visit the government information pages as this advice is updated regularly
