Children's Work Volunteering Opportunities

Experience Christmas

This year we are running Experience Christmas again and we already have bookings from three local primary schools.  The children have the opportunity to explore different aspects of the Christmas story in an interactive way and reflect on the meaning of Christmas for Christians and for themselves.  Experience Christmas is on 28 -30 November and 5-7 December, if you can help by telling part of the Christmas story to small groups of around 6 children please sign up on the board in church.

Sparklers Leader

We are looking for someone to join the Sparklers team working with children aged 2-5 during the 10:00 service from January.  This role is on a month-on, month-off basis and involves planning and leading the sessions using materials provided by Scripture Union.  There is a team of helpers and full training will be given.  Please think and pray about whether you could serve our preschool age children  in this way.

Holiday Club

Next year’s Holiday Club will be on 18-20  February 2019.  John Hardwick will be joining us again, this year’s theme will be Junior Heroes.  Holiday Club is action packed, high energy and full of fun!  It’s a tiring but very rewarding opportunity to get to know the children and share the message of Jesus’ love with them.  If you can offer to help in any way please sign up on the board in church – there is a job for everyone from upfront to behind-the-scenes, during the week or in advance.
