Churches Together in Woodbridge & Melton

The churches in Woodbridge and Melton work together to serve our community in many ways.

Representatives meet four times a year to plan common events, discuss common issues, work together to share God’s love in our community and share our Christian faith. Each church appoints one or two representatives to attend meetings. These reps have the job of reporting back to their church and informing the group of all that is going on at their church that may be of interest to others. The ministers of the churches also try to attend the meetings. St John's representative for Churches Together is Lyn Spall.

The group plans for events throughout the year. These may be church services, community events where a Christian presence is requested or a specific project.

To find out more about the group's work please visit the Churches Together website.

St John's members regularly take part in activities & events organised or supported by Churches Together. Some examples of these include:

Healing on the Streets

The Churches Together Healing on the Streets team began in 2010 and continues to go out onto the Thoroughfare fortnightly on Saturday mornings. We offer prayer to those we meet, for physical and emotional healing or any other needs that they would like to receive prayer for. While we are out we are supported by a prayer team in the old vicarage. Over the years we have taken hundreds of prayer requests and have been encouraged by the grateful response that we have received from many people. It is always a privilege to pray for people or share our faith. If you would like to join us to pray, either on the Thoroughfare or in the old vicarage, please contact Caroline Scott or the Church Office.
